Classic Car Show – Prestatyn
Monday 30 May 2016
The crowds poured in to Prestatyn Town Centre on Monday 30 May for the seventeenth annual Classic Car Show – and arguably the best one yet.
With over 360 vehicles on display, there was something for everyone to see. From Mini’s to Mercedes and Beetles to Bedford trucks, the owners stood proudly next to their vehicles in the hope of impressing the judges on the day.
Radio Glan Clwyd were in attendance, and played the music and gave visitors information on the vehicles being exhibited and of the many stalls and activities that were going on across the vicarage gardens, car park and town centre. Organiser Tim Williams was very pleased with the turn out, and was kept busy on the day making sure that everything was going to plan.
On Sunday 29 May, there was also the ‘Classic Car Run’ where owners were encouraged to take part in a drive which took in some of the most scenic routes in the country, stopping for lunch in Llanrwst and ending at the Beaches Hotel. Thanks to the generosity of the car owners, £400 was raised for St Kentigern’s Hospice.
The classic car show in Prestatyn is always a fantastic event – we look forward to next year already!
