Out on the road again… Christmas 2017
The Radio Glan Clwyd roadshow team will be out and about over Christmas, undertaking collections and supporting the big local festive events.
On 24 November, we were in Holywell town centre, supporting the town council with the switching on of the Christmas lights. Entertainment was provided by the local school choir, and Beauty and the Beast. There was a funfair for the children, stalls, refreshments, and Santa also paid a visit. Radio Glan Clwyd’s Tony Mannix announces the arrival of the Christmas parade (photo below left).
On 1 December, our team were out in force at Morrisons in Rhyl, undertaking a Christmas collection. A big thanks to staff and customers at the store for the warm welcome, the kind donations, and to everyone who requested a song. The image at the top of the page shows Radio Glan Clwyd members Olga, Sue, Eugene and Tony in the foyer of the store.
On 2 December, we returned to Holywell town centre for another Christmas collection. Once again, our thanks must go to everyone who was able to spare some change, and to the retailers on the High Street for their support and hospitality. Glyn Evans is photographed with the microphone, joined by members John and Tony (photo above right).
Our final Christmas event is on Saturday 16 December, at the Tweedmill Factory Outlet in St Asaph.
If you see our team out and about in the local area, feel free to request a song, particularly if it is a festive favourite! We are also looking for more members, so if you have some time to spare, and would like to join us as a presenter/ward visitor/fundraiser, then do ask a member of the team, or make contact by email; email@example.com.
If you are holding an event across the local area this Christmas or even in the New Year, and you would like us to promote it, or attend with our roadshow team, do let us know. As a registered charity we are always looking for support via advertising on air or by donations.
