‘Mini Miss European’ winner, Ava Tudbull joins presenter Andy Hayes on Radio Glan Clwyd
Six year old Ava Tudbull became Radio Glan Clwyd’s youngest ever guest on Sunday 7 February 2016, as she joined Andy Hayes on the Sunday Surgery show to answer questions about the ‘Mini Miss European’ competition.
Ava, a pupil of Ysgol Llywelyn in Rhyl, was joined by mum Lisa who explained that Ava had to compete in various stages to become the Wales finalist for the Mini Miss European competition, and was then crowned as the winner in a final in Folkestone. Find out more about the competition here.
For a six year old, Ava keeps a busy schedule. On the day of the interview she had been competing at an indoor carnival in Kinmel Bay Community Centre, and is looking forward to forthcoming competitions across North Wales and the North West.
A talking point in the interview was Ava’s involvement in the 2015/16 pantomime at the Paviliion Theatre in Rhyl. Ava performed as one of the dancers alongside stars Rhydian Roberts and Sonia. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She takes lessons in ballet, tap and modern, and looks forward to performing in other shows in the near future.
The interview concluded with Ava wishing all of the patients at Glan Clwyd Hospital a very speedy recovery. She chose two of her favourite songs to be played on the radio; Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson, and Little Mix’s Black Magic.
